We’re very excited to announce that “Visions of Warriors” is in the Canadian Art Therapy Association’s beautiful online magazine, “Envisage.” Founded in 1977, the respected Canadian Art Therapy Association or Association Canadienne d’Art Therapie (CATA-ACAT) unites and promotes the emerging profession of art therapy in Canada. According to their site, Envisage is “not only a vibrant platform for art therapists to be recognized for their work and learn from each others’ diverse practices, it is also a valuable tool to promote the innovative work of art therapists in other professional fields and communities.” We’re deeply honored to share our documentary with the thriving Canadian art therapy community. “VISIONS OF WARRIORS” TO SCREEN AT THE WOODWARD PARK REGIONAL LIBRARY IN FRESNO, CA
We’re thrilled to announce that “Visions of Warriors” will be screening at the Woodward Park Regional Library in Fresno, CA on Tuesday, 4/23/19, at 6:00 p.m. This library is part of the extensive Fresno County Public Library system, which offers Veterans Resource Centers at their Central Branch Library and Betty Rodriguez Branch Library. This screening is made possible by “Californians: Community Conversations with Veterans,” a partnership between the California Center for the Book and Veterans Connect @ the Library. The library’s community partner for this screening is CalVet (California Department of Veterans Affairs). According to their site, “CalVet strives to ensure that its veterans of every era and their families get the state and federal benefits and services they have earned and deserve as a result of selfless and honorable military service.” Ryan Gardner, the clinical social worker who’s featured in the documentary, and Ming Lai, the director, will be attending the screening and participating in a Q&A afterward. “VISIONS OF WARRIORS” TO SCREEN AT THE SAN FRANCISCO VETERANS FILM FESTIVAL
We’re thrilled to announce that “Visions of Warriors” will be screening at the San Francisco Veterans Film Festival on Sunday, 11/4/18 at 2:16 p.m.. We’re deeply honored to screen our film at this growing festival in anticipation of Veterans Day. Because the film was made in the Bay Area, we’re excited to be able to share it with this vibrant community. According to its site, the “San Francisco Veterans Film Festival is a robust forum for active duty, Veterans and civilian filmmakers to express their creativity and to share their stories, which in turn helps further healing and brings greater awareness to the public on the challenges our nation’s Veterans face.” The festival is organized by One Vet One Voice, a comprehensive resource for veterans regarding VA benefits and services. The screening will take place at the stately San Francisco Public Library / Main Library in their Koret Auditorium.
