“VISIONS OF WARRIORS” TO SCREEN AT THE L.A. PUBLIC LIBRARY / MEMORIAL BRANCH LIBRARY

“Visions of Warriors” will be screening at the L.A. Public Library / Memorial Branch Library on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in celebration of the upcoming Veterans Day. We are deeply honored to work with the L.A. Public Library again to celebrate Veterans Day. The Memorial Branch Library has a rich history. The land on which it is located was deeded by Los Angeles High School to the City of Los Angeles in 1923 to honor twenty alumni who died while serving in WWI. The Gothic Revival-style library was built in 1930 and designed by John C. Austin, who was the lead architect of the Griffith Observatory. The students of L.A. High School commissioned the renowned Judson Studios to create a beautiful stained glass window with the names of the twenty alumni and an inscription, “Peace Among Nations.” The library is listed on the the National Register of Historic Places. “VISIONS OF WARRIORS” TO SCREEN AT THE AMERICAN ART THERAPY ASSOCIATION'S 49TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE / ART THERAPY SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

“Visions of Warriors” will be screening at the American Art Therapy Association’s 49th Annual Conference / Art Therapy Short Film Festival in Miami, Florida on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. We’re deeply honored to work with the respected American Art Therapy Association. According to their site, their mission is to “advocate for expansion of access to professional art therapists and lead the nation in the advancement of art therapy as a regulated mental health and human services profession.” Because this is a short film festival, only a 10-minute excerpt of the 93-minute feature documentary will be screened. Before the screening, Zara Drapkin, MA, MSW, LCSW and Ryan Gardner, MSW, LCSW, BCD will be leading a conference workshop, “Expanding Your Focal Point: Addressing Veterans’ Mental Health Needs Through Photography.” Thank you to Zara Drapkin and Ryan Gardner for representing our film at the conference. “VISIONS OF WARRIORS” TO SCREEN AT THE SAN DIEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY / CENTRAL LIBRARY

We’re excited to announce that the San Diego Public Library and their Veterans Resource Center, funded by the California State Library's Veterans Connect @ the Library program, will be screening “Visions of Warriors” on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at their Central Public Library / Neil Morgan Auditorium. We’re deeply honored to present our film with the expansive library and their Veterans Resource Center and share it with San Diego’s thriving military and veteran communities as well as the public. Opened in September 2013, the state-of-the-art Central Library with its beautiful Neil Morgan Auditorium in the heart of downtown San Diego is a vital resource for the entire region. The California Library Association recognized this location as the most used Veterans Resource Center in the entire state. We’re thrilled to screen our film in such an incredible venue. “Visions of Warriors” will be screening at the Los Angeles Public Library / Exposition Park Branch on Thursday, 7/19/18 at 6:00 p.m. Based in Los Angeles, we’re very excited to screen our documentary at another branch of the expansive Los Angeles Public Library, which is an incredible resource for our community. On Saturday, 5/26/18 at 2:30 p.m., we’ll be screening our film at the Los Angeles Public Library / Van Nuys Branch. The library’s website states that it “provides free and easy access to information, ideas, books and technology that enrich, educate and empower every individual in our city’s diverse communities.” In particular, it offers extensive services for veterans through four Veterans Resource Centers, located at the Central Library, Exposition Park Regional Branch, Mid Valley Regional Library, and the Van Nuys Branch Library. We’re thrilled to announce that “Visions of Warriors” will be screening at the San Jose State University’s (SJSU) beautiful Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library on Thursday, 4/19/18, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. According to their website, SJSU is “consistently ranked as one of the West’s top public universities offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees.” The event is sponsored by Vet Connect. Because we shot the documentary in San Jose and the surrounding areas, we’re very excited to share it with the local community, in particular the veterans. Mark Pinto, who’s one of the veterans featured in the documentary and an alumnus of SJSU, will be attending the event. “VISIONS OF WARRIORS” TO SCREEN AT THE COLORADO PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION ASSOCIATION

The Colorado Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association will be screening “Visions of Warriors” at Windhorse Community Services in Boulder, Colorado on Tuesday, 5/1/18, 5:45 p.m. The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) and in particular the Colorado PRA (COPRA) have been great supporters of our documentary. We had the huge honor of screening our film at PRA’s 40th Annual Wellness and Recovery Summit in Atlanta last year. Since then, COPRA has also screened our film in Denver. We’re excited to screen our film again in Colorado at Windhorse Community Services, which offers home-based treatment recovery options to the residents of Boulder.
